Thank you so much Jesus!

Ok, so I just have to share. Only a few actually know about what I'm sharing below, but now it's time to use it as a testimony!
For almost the whole past two years the company my husband works for has been very slow. They have had business but not very much and so along with me having to take furlough days (time without pay) because of the State's deficit, my husband in addition to taking a 20% paycut also had to take some time off without pay. For some reason though the company has not gone under, while other's have. Of course it has been a daily prayer of ours that God would bless the owner with enough wisdom to keep the business going.
Now, fast forward to two weeks ago............we were dreading filing taxes, at last we decided to just file and get it over with. When we filed we found that we made $25,000 less than we did in 2009! As you can imagine we looked in awe at the bottom line final amount we brought home and said to one another "how did we make it?". Somehow God worked it out to where we had a roof over our head, food on the table (thank the Lord for spaghetti!), clothes on, gas in the tank.. (the list goes on and on) without any government assistance at all! Oh how we would have loved some assistance but alas, they look at gross income instead of net =( Needless to say we actually get a small tax refund this year! Woohoo! AND we qualify for all kinds of homebuyer incentitives now since our gross income was less. BUT now for the really good news.........Robert's work is busy! They are actually so busy right now that they can't keep up!!!! The bid requests are flowing in and they are rushing to get bids out. Robert is the lead and only finisher in the shop and is swamped with work! He was just told that he can work as much overtime as he'd like because of how busy they are!!!! Thank you Jesus! Seriously, we were just thinking the other night that we wouldn't be able to make it much longer with the way gas prices are and then Wham! God drops down a bunch of overtime! I'm bout' to have a Holy Ghost shout down right here at my desk.............don't worry, at least I'd be able to explain it =)
Have a great day and know that the Lord knows just how much we can take!

11 pounds and counting...

Okay, so I just wanted to share my little victory in the "the battle of the bulge", lol. As only some of you know (I haven't really shared my battle with many) I have been doing weight watchers religiously for the past 6 weeks. I have not "cheated" at all, except for actually having a hard time using all of my daily points. I have reached a loss of 11 pounds! I am so excited! It has actually been pretty easy and I have changed my eating habits in a healthy way. I am now only 19 more pounds away from my goal weight! As of now, I am back to the weight I was right before I got preggo with Rachel =) I think I will celebrate with some chocolate frozen yogurt this weekend =)

Bus outreach and Village Inn

A few weeks ago we gathered all of the kids that rode the buses to Sunday School for a picture. Our purpose was that Village Inn was so kind to donate pies to us for a luncheon that the bus outreach teams did a few weeks ago. We frequent VI at least once a week and so have gotten to know the manager and several of the waitstaff very well. They are wonderful people and so when we asked for a donation it was almost an immediate yes! In return we promised that we would take a picture and have a plaque made with the photo on it to give to them. The manager said that she is so touched by what we have told her about the bus outreach and we hope that one day she will come and visit, and bring her daughter with her. So whenever you kneel to pray for others please remember them also=)

pressing on.....

Okay, so I officially have 3 credits left to finish my BLS degree!!!!! Woot woot! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I am working on my final capstone project and then I am scheduled to graduate in the summer, but I'm going to actually graduate in the Fall so that I can spend some time with the kiddo's this summer. I'd rather be a little relaxed this summer have fun in the sun =) instead of working on my final credits. I am soooo excited that I can finally move on to the Master's program and hopefully have an opportunity to work from home teaching online courses within the next few years.

On another note, our church has been in revival for several weeks now and finally has had a powerful breakthrough this last week. It all started on Tuesday night and has been nearly non-stop since then. It is so wonderful to feel liberty and victory at last! God is so good!!!

Stories and photos =)

Our kiddo's are growing so fast! Rachel got a Melissa & Doug easel from Papa and Nana in December and she loves it! I took some pictures of her out on the back porch having a blast painting. Josiah is so interested in what his sister is doing. He can sit and be content for a long time just watching her play.

I have to share a cute/funny story that happened the other day. Josiah was sitting in his high chair and was getting fussy, we had just finished dinner. Rachel got down from her chair and went to Josiah, without warning she grabbed his hand and lifted it in the air. She said "let's pray, siah' " and she commenced to say "oooooh Jesus........ooooooooh Jesus....iiiiin Jesus Name....siah' needs Holy Ghost.....oooooh Jesus", it was so cute and funny that I started to chuckle while Robert was beginning to feel the spirit I guess, because he started praying with Rachel, saying " Lord, give Rachel the Holy Ghost at a young age too, in Jesus Name". The look on Josiah's face was such a baffled one........then he broke into a smile and started laughing. Rachel dropped his hand and lifted her paper napkin that she'd been holding to wipe her "tears" and said "better Josiah?"....I suppose he was better because he had forgotten all about his fussiness and was content for a while longer in his high chair =)

Now, everyday at work I go into a private lactation room to pump and lately it has become a wonderful time for me because...It's a wonderful PRAYER ROOM! Yep, I started thinking about a month ago that it is a perfect time to pray and it gets me through the rest of the day having to deal with all of the stress of life. So now I pray everyday (as I pump, lol) specifically for the children the Lord has blessed me with, that they will get the Holy Ghost and be tender towards the things of God at a young age so that they will have a good foundation to build on the rest of their life, IN JESUS NAME! (stompin' on the devil!)

Yay! He smiled for the camera!

Baby Bullet pics

Josiah thought the banana's were pretty yummy and we had so much fun together during his first "solids" experience! Rachel thought it was pretty cool that her brother could actually eat from a spoon=) Against all of my previous judgment regarding giving a baby fruit first, he actually has done fine with veggies too. I've made sweet potatoes, peas, squash, carrots, etc. and he eats it all =)

Okay, so finally here are some pics of my wonderful Baby Bullet baby food maker!

Happy little bullets....heehee, LOL =)

Press down and wa-la!

Pneumonia and bronchitis!!!

Well, alas, my kids usually don't get sick but I guess there is a first for everything. Poor Rachel has Pneumonia and a ear infection (her first one ever!) and feels just horrible! Josiah has bronchitis and is on breathing treatment with antibiotics until it goes away. I hope they get better soon without complications. Please keep them in your prayers!
