Baby Dedication

Sunday, October 30th Josiah was dedicated to the Lord! We were so happy to have our families there with us and it was extra special to be able to have my parents and sister there for the special occasion. Pastor Garrett preached a very impactful message about Jesus being our hope and how to raise our children in the same hope by keeping His commandments. God is so good!

Pastor Garrett saying just the right words, as usual he always knows exactly what to say and how to say it just right =)

Rachel is 3!

Rachel is 3! I cannot believe how fast time flies by! It seems like just yesterday she was turning 1 =) We had a birthday party for her on Saturday and it was lots of fun. It was farm themed and we even had a petting zoo come. Most of Rachel's little friends were able to make it, except a couple of them. Of course, Joel was there and Charlotte too, which made her day =) The day turned out perfect and I've posted pictures below. Enjoy!

Above is how Josiah spent the day with nana and papa =)

Yay for Fall!!!!

Finally! The cooler weather is here! We have been enjoying it and I absolutely love the fact that I can leave the front door open, windows open, and enjoy the fresh air while I make dinner. On Saturday after prayer service and choir practice we went to the family corn maze out at Tolmachoff farm. It was so much fun even though we ended up getting lost without meaning to. That was the first time that we've ever been lost in a corn maze on accident, usually we get "lost" on purpose to make it a better adventure, lol. They also have a petting zoo there and Rachel enjoyed feeding and petting the horses and goats.
Sunday night I decided to dress Josiah up for church and even though daddy wasn't too thrilled with the outfit, he was cute anyways! LOL
Both me and Robert's classes start next week so we've been geering up in our minds for a tough 7 week session. It should be interesting having us both juggling homework now............thank goodness I am almost done but we'll see how this goes!

What a day.....

Well, I am officially back to work from maternity leave =( Happy but sad at the same time, I definately enjoyed that last two months home with my little ones. It was such a busy time getting adjusted to two children instead of just one but it was so much fun! Now at least the weather is cooling down a bit and I will be able to go and do things outdoors on my days off =)
The good news is.........Josiah went 4 HOURS last night between feedings!!!!! WooHoo!!! God sure heard my prayer last night that I would get a little extra sleep so that I could start my week back to work off on a good start........3:30am comes very early =)

Josiah's smile when I caught it on camera for the first time! ^

Rachel and Josiah being all cute =) ^

^Last Thursday we went to Grandma's house (Robert's mom) all day to play with the kiddos and kind of get Rachel accustomed to the idea of going back to Grandma's for hours at a time. She had a blast "doing hair", but never wanted to be the one getting her hair done, just wanted to be the stylist =)

Last week we also went to Michael Vela's birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza, Rachel of course had to sit right next to him so that she could "help" him sing "Happy Birthday" or as she calls it "The Happy Birthday Song".

What a day!

Goodness, our day started off so busy! Right now we only have one vehicle (that runs at least) and so I decided to get up early and take Robert to work so that I could keep the car and run errands. Well, Josiah decided to nurse practically all night, so 4am came a little too quickly. Nevertheless, I managed to get up and ready (groggily I might add) and take Robert to work. Now the day has winded down and I'm glad about it and hoping that Josiah will sleep a little better tonight=)

On Labor day weekend we went to Texas to visit my family and I had a blast! We went to a little Amusement park in Amarillo where Rachel rode as many rides as she could and loved it. The highlight of the trip was going to eat at "The Grill" a little restaurant in my parents small town that has some of the best fries and burgers ever! Also, we went to a Once Upon A Child store that was huge compared to the ones here in Arizona..........good thing they're not that big here or I would never have a paycheck left! haha

Here are some pictures of our fun weekend and some of Josiah in his "generic" cloth diapers. Many of you know I've taken on the task of cloth diapering and I have to admit that I love it! Someone recommended the generic ones from ebay and I am finding that they are just as good as the name brand ones. I still like gdiapers though because they are not bulky and are hybrid, making it easier when out and about.

Here we go.....

Okay, so I've been hesitant to begin blogging, just because I'm so bad at keeping up with current postings, but I figure we'll give it a try. I will do my best to keep it updated in the midst of our crazy life =)

Here are a few recent photos to get this party started!

Our last photo as a family of three=)
